The Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS) is a recent requirement of the Environment Agency (EA) in England and Wales.

Laboratories undertaking the chemical testing of soil where the results are to be submitted to the Agency for regulatory purposes are now required to adhere to the Performance Standard for Laboratories Undertaking Chemical Testing of Soil.

NRM Ltd was one of the pioneering laboratories to gain this extra accreditation when it first became mandatory in September 2004.  It continues to be one of the most highly MCERTS accredited independent laboratories in the UK.
