Central to NRM’s analytical service is a robust and extensive internal quality system.
At the heart of the programme is United Kingdom Accreditation Scheme (UKAS) accreditation to international standard BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, for a range of chemical tests in the residue and environmental areas.
To comply with the Environment Agency’s regulations in the area of Contaminated Land for the chemical testing of soils, NRM is accredited to the Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS) standard.
NRM also participates in the performance testing schemes of:

Contaminated Land Testing Scheme ( CONTEST)
It is also approved by the Composting Association under the Certification Scheme BSI PAS 100 and holds a Defra licence to import, move and keep prohibited soil and plant tissue for physical and chemical testing.
